This base is virtually identical to our best-selling base — the regular dark yak we've carried for years. This one is just a little thicker. After cashmere, this yak base is the softest we offer and is perfect for wool-allergic people, as it contains no sheep's wool and therefore no lanolin, which is often what people react to. This version is a bit lighter and doesn't drape as heavily as the other base. It's perfect for sweaters, very pleasant to knit with, and produces a lovely even result.
