This base is virtually identical to our best-selling base — the regular dark yak we have had for years. This one is just a bit thicker. After cashmere, this yak base is the softest we offer and it’s perfect for people with wool allergies, since it doesn’t contain sheep wool and therefore no lanolin, which is often what causes reactions. This version is somewhat lighter and doesn’t drape as heavily as the other base. It’s perfect for sweaters, is lovely and easy to knit with, and gives a nice, even result.
