Mohair is not just mohair..... mohair is hair and not wool. Therefore, the shorter the hairs are, the more it itches - similar to if we were very closely cropped. For economic reasons, producers get more out of shearing the goats often and thus obtain more yarn than letting them grow long hair. The longer the hairs are, the more they lie flat against our skin and therefore itch less. It is not recommended for allergy sufferers and therefore has a category C, but if you are "just" sensitive, I would still recommend trying this, as it really is different. This luxury mohair runs only 350m per 50g. It becomes very thick if you knit with two strands. Therefore, for example, PetiteKnits' "Kumulus sweater" would be fine in just one strand of this mohair.
